ABOUT

Passion. Commitment. Action.

As a councillor, Monia Allegre will consult with the community and improve life in Subiaco through practical actions to progress the needs and desires of our evolving city. Her key strength is the ability to combine vision and imagination with grassroots activism and communication. She is committed to a future that embraces change while respecting and protecting our considerable heritage. Monia's priorities include developing pedestrian-friendly and bike-friendly neighbourhoods, ensuring that local businesses can thrive, promoting affordability for all and maximising the potential of our cultural assets.

Monia was the instigator of the Daglish Community Group and recently spearheaded a successful campaign to establish a safe pedestrian crossing at the western end of Hamersley Road.

"Monia is a fantastic, easy and reliable person to work with, very concerned with the reception of the artwork by the ourselves and our audience beyond her own individual creative contribution. She also proved she was able to appropriately handle a variety of issues and meet deadlines and relevance in her selection of manufacturers/suppliers and trades to meet the requirements of the project, guarantee the sustainability of the artwork and obtain the best final outcome within the limits of the budget allocated. "

- Carine Bouguagne, Director of the Alliance Francaise Perth, 2016
